In our spare time (ha!) and during the season, we collect butterfly caterpillars from our gardens and place them in butterfly habitats to watch each one change from a caterpillar to a chrysalis to a beautiful butterfly. Creating a new piece of jewelry is like watching the caterpillar change into a butterfly.
